A perfect opportunity to re-build an existing rear wheel
The customer’s rear wheel from his commuter bike needed some serious TLC. The rim had failed and the wheel was unsafe to ride. The hub needed a good cleaning inside and out. Spokes had broken in regular service conditions. The cone nuts of the wheel bearings were pitted and galled. Internal hub spaces contained road grit and silt.
The customer’s existing rear wheel was re-built with SAPIM ‘Force’ spokes in black, a VELOCITY ‘Aileron’ rim also in black, and the hub was given new cone nuts and a total cleaning.
Bottom line: the service life of the customer’s commuter wheel was extended, and the dynamic safety and reliability were restored, at lower cost.
